To be over-critical over the action of others, yet we over-look our own mistakes.

Why do we jump to conclusions just based on assumption?

And treat others based on those assumptions.

The world would be a better place to live in if all of this didn't happen.

We all know how to differentiate between right and wrong.

We do know that everyone has their own little imperfections making each and everyone of us unique.

so WHY does this all occur?

This is a story I read about recently and would like to share, a rather inspirational one indeed. Kudos to the person who wrote it.

Pencil: I'm sorry

Eraser: For what? You didn't do anything wrong.

Pencil: I'm sorry because you get hurt because of me. Whenever I made a mistake, you're always there to erase it. But as you make my mistakes vanish, you lose a part of yourself. You get smaller and smaller each time.

Eraser: That's true. But I don't really mind. You see, I was made to do this. I was made to help you whenever you do something wrong. Even though one day, I know I'll be gone

and you'll replace me with a new one, I'm actually happy with my job. So please, stop worrying. I hate seeing you sad.

Think about it and relate to our life, parents are like the eraser whereas their children are the pencil. They're always there for their children, cleaning up their mistakes. Sometimes along the way, they get hurt, and become smaller / older, and eventually pass on. Though the

ir children will eventually find someone new (spouse), but parents will always remain happy with what they do for their children, pouring their love endlessly, and will always hate seeing their precious ones being in a dilemma.

One day, all you'll be left with are the memories (eraser shavings) of what they've done. So why not be grateful and start to appreciate your parents, starting today. Go give em a HUGE hug and let them know how important are they now!

Flew over to Paris for a post-exams holiday for the weekend, super tired. Just imagine:

Thurs=last exam

Fri-Sun=Paris

Mon-Fri=start of classes again

"Woah, Paris- the romantic city with the Eiffel Tower and shopping galore"

Well, honestly I would have loved Paris more if I brought more "cha-ching" along with me.

It's not fun to look at plenty of clothes and accessories screaming your name wh

en you don't have the cash to buy em. I mean, a row of branded stuff at La Vellee Village with discounts and prices you can't get elsewhere plus the great weather with baby

blue sky really makes a great shopping day. But it sucks big time to bring a loaded card that isn't activated.

Here we are right outside the Palace of Versailes. Majestic buildings accompanied by a travel-friendly weather makes the background look totally fake like a poster board doesn't it.

After entering and passing through golden gates, you are able to see the grand buildings.

Here we are able to learn about the histories of the rulers of Paris and view all the various portraits, statues and furnitures related to em'

See how intricate all the details are in the building, be it the walls, ceiling or lighting.

Oh! and we were given a recorder object where we are able to listen to a "tourguide" who will tell us the history related to the various objects in each room.

riding the tube to Palais royal-museum de lourve

all to visit the Lourve Museum

This place is filled with artistic statues and paintings, and it's also free for students with visas so I reckon it's a MUST GO place in Paris.

Here we get to view the famous Mona Lisa painting.

Even the ceiling is filled with art

Not forgetting our visit to the famed Eiffel Tower. It's like the first thing we went to visit right after we checked into our apartment.

I even paid more than 6euros just to face my fear of height just to go up the Eiffel Tower. -.-"

However, we only managed to went halfway up the tower as there was some maintenance going on. Thank goodness though, since it's half the price and it was effing cold up there with the wind that could literally blow you away and make your hand numb within minutes.

On a side note, this was taken outside the Lourve Museum and we thought it was the Triumphal Arch and was wondering why was it so tiny HAHA

However, we went to see the real deal later that night ^^

Presenting to you the Triumphal Arch located at Champ Elysee, a prestigious avenue which holds a whole lot of branded shops. You name it, you see it.

I shall end this post by crediting CheiWan (whom I secretly thinks aspire to be a superstar :P ) for all the pictures from his cammie - since my camera was sleeping in my bag for the whole trip.

Heading to the gym to get a toned body or get tanned (not here in Glasgow for now),

Get out of your comfort zone and try something different.

Don't be afraid to take challenges, welcome them with open arms and be ready to overcome any hurdles coming your way. After all, you've got your brain with you.

Stay strong, you can do it!

Time to start making your New Year's Resolution!

I'm sure every single one of us out there ain't perfect, but we can always improve ourselves bit by bit. :)

I didn't make any last year, which was a pity I must say as I was just the same as I was a year ago. So this year, I vow to do so ;) Just not gonna say what it is out aloud. *zip*

Just remember,

Each of you are special in your own ways, just like each snowflake...none are ever the same, so your own unique personality makes you sine the way you are, just work on your strong points. That's why people around you love you, for being the way you are.

Whenever you feel the blues coming, go grab your buddy and cheer up :) Get outta your room and do something different, be spontaneous! Or tune up some fun music to make your day, no point wallowing in depression.

Do keep in mind that there is no point in getting upset over others. Keep the past behind, left in 2010 and move forward to the new year. They ain't worth a penny of your time, let alone your thoughts. Be optimistic! Think of those who care for you.

It's been nearly a month since I've been away from the blogging community. Just back from London trip few days ago for a short Xmas escapade.

Rode Ryanair to Stansed Airport.

Maximum cabin allowance: 10kg

It was cold, like 0-2 degrees, relatively warmer than the previous few days and fortunately, there was no snow so we were able to fly there and back without delay safely.

SCOLDING away due to the packed place and long queues,

SQUEEZING and trying to beat the crowd.

Top it off, slept at Steam Engine...a backpackers' inn in a 12 people mix-dorm with minimal space to move about, and a pub as a reception to welcome you.

Pharmacists are supposed to be professionals right?
But they're just humans who wanna have a little harmless fun once in awhile,
So a group of students organized a little pub crawl where we had to ride a great double decker bus ( there were 3 in total, so you imagine how MANY of us went) and went from 1 pub to another, 5 in total. A few of our lecturers came along as well. Everyone was supposed to be dressed in golf attire to follow the theme.

It's the time where you see girls wearing skirts/shorts eventhough the temperature was half of Genting.

Huge bus with lotsa people bound to get drunk in the end.

This was the plan,
you head to a place and drink the drinks stated to score more points, all in the aim to get wasted. :P

All the different hair colours and skin tones mixing together to have a great time.

Just imagine being in a bus with happy-hyper ang mohs singing away songs that you never knew?

This place is called Frankenstein or Frankies for short.

Hence you'll expect someone to visit, and it's none other than

Winter is near.
Today is the coldest amongst all days I've been here so far, it even reached -2 degrees. zZz.
I headed out early in the morning at 8am to the car boots sale (kinda like garage sale) with Farrah, Sophia, GaikCheng, MayHwa, ChiewVien, AlexLeong, SiuTheng and Faiz.

There were lots of stuff over there, totally worth waking up in the early morning for. You can see people bargaining for cheap 2nd hand items, fresh fruits and meat available at a reasonable price. The only downside was the super cold weather. The cold weather made some parts of the road slippery, so if you're not careful...you're gonna end up *whoops* on the ground. To protect yourself from that, I suggest you carry a backpack stuffed with a pillow. And wear THICK leggings for extra protection. :D

We get to breath out cold vapour which makes us look like we're all smoking xD

It's the first time we saw ice in the form of frost, well not really snow but glittery like nice like picture shown below, ain't fungus ok!

Some of them kena snapped by paparazzi also won't know.

Those who went with the exception of Farrah and SiuTheng who were still bargain hunting.

I have broken a record of eating 6 thick slices of white bread yesterday and having milk nearly everyday I am here, on the high way towards getting F-A-T. Not forgetting all the pastas I have ingested.

But it's alright, I'll be going off to the gym now to tackle em all.

However, I must admit that although it's just the first week, we're already busy to the max.
Lecturers scaring us and making us stressed of our courses when we barely start.
Walking to another building after every lecture.
Rain and wind that upturn umbrellas.
The cold air that makes it hard for us to break a sweat (thank goodness the gym is for free for another week)
Groceries to buy and food to cook.

Hello from Scotland

I am proud to say that I have been to Dubai! Oh well, just being in their airport counts doesn't it?
Being sorta alright from jetlag. I must say that these few days here have been rather eventful, one way or another.

It's like the first time where I sit in such a huge plane with movies n music to entertain me while international stewards served us food continuously. Thank goodness my skin is recovering from dehydration.

It's the first time being all drained out from jetlag while needing to walk to a shop 30mins away for groceries and essentials, dragging everything back, unpack and clean the room without rest.

It's my first time feeling the strong wind which nearly swept me off my feet.

It's the first time the rain would just drizzle for abit and stop when I'm just about to cover myself and rain again when I took my jacket off.

It's the first time I've seen so many women smoke.

It's the first time I've seen broken glass bottles scattered everywhere.

It's the first time I got woken up by a fire alarm in the form of a siren at 2.30am in the morning and rushed out in my bedroom slippers only to realize nothing serious occured.

It's the first time I've seen people of various backgrounds and ethnicity being stuck in the same hall.

It's the first time I've seen buildings that I could only see from the telly.

It's the first time I've seen any place having so many coins with different values.

This is KahLian, my emo Lee sister who's also my housemate and the one I spent the most time with currently.

This is the kitchen of my unit. Yes, it's messy

But it's pretty decent.

Following the previous post, we went to meet up with the rest (which you can see from the pictures later) to Jyu Raku to have Japanese dinner.

All of us ordered our own sets:
Each coming with steamed rice, vegetables, fruits, miso soup and chawanmushi.

amongst others.

For a good review regarding that restaurant, read KY's review regarding it. Reading a famous food blogger's review rated 5stars will be better than my half star pictures :P

Prevent Rape before it occurs

I've recently received an email from a fellow friend that some of you might have read about, but for the majority of the girls out there, do read:

A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interviewed on what they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts:
1) The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun, braid or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed. They are also likely to go after a woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common targets.
I've even drawn a *ahem* not so artistic cartoon for easy remembrance :P

2) The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for womenwhose clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors around to cut clothing.
So I guess its best to dress in layers?? And clothings which arent so see-through that allows guys imagination to go wild.

3) They also look for women on their cell phone, searching through their purse or doing other activities while walking because they are off and can be easily overpowered.

4) The time of day men are most likely to attack and rape a woman is in the early morning, between 5 and 8:30 a.m.
That's the time when most of us are the sleepiest and aren't fully aware of our surroundings.

5) The number one place women are abducted from/attacked at is grocery store parking lots. Number two is office parking lots/garages. Number three is public restrooms.
Be extra careful at these places.

6) The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman and quickly move her to a second location where they don't have to worry about getting caught.

7) Only 2% said they carried weapons because rape carries a 3-5 year sentence but rape with a weapon is 15-20 years.
8) If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged because it only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going after you isn't worth it because it will be time consuming.

9) These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas, or other similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their hands.Keys are not a deterrent because you have to get really close to the attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince these guys you're not worth it.
Keep one hanging on your arm, super handy!

10) Several defense mechanisms he taught us are: If someone is following behind you on a street or in a garage or with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask them a question, like what time is it?, or make general small talk, I can't believe it is so cold out here, or we're in for a bad winter. Now you've seen their face and could identify them in a lineup, you lose appeal as a target.11) If someone is coming toward you, hold out your hands in front of you and yell Stop or Stay back! Most of the rapists this man talked to said they'd leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she would not be afraid to fight back. Again, they are looking for an EASY target.

12) If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of it and carries it with him wherever he goes), yelling I HAVE PEPPER SPRAY and holding it out will be a deterrent.13) If someone grabs you, you can't beat them with strength but you can by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the waist from behind, pinch the attacker either under the arm between the elbow and armpit or in the upper inner thigh -- HARD. One woman in a class this guy taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out musclestrands the guy needed stitches. Try pinching yourself in those places as hard as you can stand it; it hurts.
14) After the initial hit, always go for the groin. I know from a particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy's parts it is extremely painful. You might think that you'll anger the guy and make him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our instructor is that they want a woman who will not cause a lot of trouble. Start causing trouble, & he's out of there.

15) When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing down on them as possible. The instructor did it to me without using much pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.

16) Of course the things we always hear still apply. Always be aware of your surroundings, take someone with you if you can and if you see any odd behavior, don't dismiss it, go with your instincts. You may feel a little silly at the time, but you'd feel much worse if the guy really was trouble.

I'm very certain that there will be quite a number of food reviews regarding Daorae, a Korean BBQ restaurant but this will be written in my point of view. As for those who went to this place with me *ahem* I know its dated quite some time back.

There is this vent thing right from the ceiling which sucks in all the smoke and smell from the BBQed food. It is extendable as you can see from the pictures below.

There is a wide range of meat available for BBQ which differs in price as well.
Chicken. Beef. Lamb.Pork.

We even ordered this Eastern style "pancake" which is rich in egg and colourful vegetables.

But sadly the noodles are the cheap maggi-mee type :P Still taste good though.

What I love most about Daorae other than their nice ambience is the wide range of appetizers available to excite our tastebuds with various texture and taste:

T'was a princess who crossed the great South China Sea to go back to a place called 'new' home surrounded by lush foliage and beautiful greeneries. Even the grass was trimmed to suit the pretty place.

Welcome to my humble abode ^^ all pretty in pink n sky blue.

If you can see from here, she (Princess Fiona who shall not be mistaken for Shrek's wife) was a pink freak that even her dorm must be in said colour.

However, needless to say. Her 'fake' dorm room can't beat her little private space back at home where she shares with her other sister.

And there was a little camwhore corner too, just as every princess wishes to have.

The pink just never cease to end xD It exudes itself out of every corner of the room :P

If you're going to perform inception, you need imagination.

I shall write my first movie review, yes? :D And this time, it's none other than the said title Inception which is directed by Christopher Nolan who have once again succeeded in making me gape in awe and my brain twisting while trying to comprehend the whole plot which was, well schemed, I must say.

A big Thank You to Nuffnang for providing tickets for the premiere screening :)
It feels good to be able to watch the movie before others do :P
Audrey could not make it so watched with YiZhe, Wendy and *censored*
Sadly, we went late to claim the tickets so were stucked to sit right in the front and left. LOL The sad part was the fact that we were in Midvalley early but were busy shopping :P

So now, enough of my endless ramblings and let me get straight to my honest opinions about the movie:

Inception is one of the best movies I've watched so far and although it is complicated and might use up a bit of your brain juice, I assure you that it's not as confusing as it seems as long as you focus on watching. This is one of the movies that requires your attention and a bit of thought to get you to understand the movie. Don't worry though, you'll be captivated by it all and you'll stay focused without any effort because once you start watching, you'll never stop as you'll try to figure out what's gonna happen next.

Just imagine watching buildings collapse, a train suddenly appearing on city streets, people floating and fighting in a hotel with no gravity, having war in the snow, car falling into the river in slow motion with everyone's arm flapping. Makes you wanna watch it right?

Yes, a big thank you to my CHC family for celebrating my birthday for me on Saturday when we all meet up eventhough it's kinda belated. :D

Thank you to my great usher friends. I have no regrets in joining the usher team where I have learnt to serve in faith, and taught me serve both God and mankind well. Though I admit I am not excellent, but I have improved :D I have learnt not to be so shy, to approach others, to take responsibility, to look out for others and so much more.

Latest Trick to Rob Your House Using Telekom Malaysia

Would like to share this email as a word of caution to you guys out there!
(Not written by me, credits to the person who wrote it)

Friends, the incident below can happen to anyone and the printed T-shirts
are easily obtainable.

At about 1.30pm yesterday, we had someone ringing our doorbell .My
daughter checked and found that it was a young Malay guy wearing a BLUE TM
Shirt with the words printed TM Contractor in front and the back of the
shirt TM. He informed us that our phone line was out together with our
Streamyx. She went in to check and found it was true and informed me that
the guy wanted to check the cables in the house.

I tied up my Dog and let him in carrying a small bag. He was shown all the
phones in the house ie my room, daughter's room and hall. When he was in
my daughter's room, he asked me to go to my room to check the phone for a
dialing tone, and when he was in my room, I was asked to go to the hall to
do the same. He was in our house for a good twenty minutes and after that
he told me that he has to go outside to check the cable. After looking at
the cable outside, he said he will be back to change the cables outside
which was supposed to be the main problem. In a jiff he was off on his
motorbike and sped off.

I had a strong feeling that something was not right. I asked my daughter
to check her room to see if he left something behind and to my surprise I
was told that her handphone was missing. I ran to my room to check and
found my handphone and wallet still intack, BUT checking further my GOLD
chain was missing (worth about RM3,000.00)

So my friends, please be more alert and make sure that this do not happen
to you as nowadays things that you under estimate happens.
By the way TM personnel came this morning and they confirm that two wires
have been dismantled from the TM box outside my house.

This is my first time blogging since I reached the great 2-0! Sadly, I can no longer be called a teenager. Bf brought me for a pre-birthday dinner on the night before.

We went to their Petaling Jaya branch.
Below is the stated exact location :P
Address : 37-43, Jalan SS21/56B, Damansara Utama, 47400 Petaling Jaya.

I ordered their set dinner which was their latest promotion, which is quite worth it. The bf ordered their steak. So we can share-share :P since I don't think my stomach capacity is that HUGE!

We each had a complementary bun with butter.

Besides that, we were given a simple salad with our choice of thousand island.After which we had the ship's scrumptious shrimp martini.Yummy succelent prawns in thousand island!Fresh "homemade" crab claw chowder as our soup :)As for drinks, we (I mean HE, I just had plain ol' warm water) had watermelon juiceWhile I just do what I do best, pose :) And probably contaminating the drink with my saliva xD

Time for the main course!
I had succelent french cut rack of lamb which was claimed to be roasted to perfection and bedded on mash potatoes while served with assorted prime baked vegetables and topped with rich lamb gravy

Ta-daa!
Princess Fiona and her royal tiara + blings + royal meal :P

As for the bf, he opted for the chef's recommendation which was charboiled sirloin steak served with broccoli, tomato, corn on cob and baked potato topped with my fav sour cream!

See him smiling so happily like a little boi who just got ice-cream.

A meal will never be complete without dessert no matter how full one is,
hence we had a slice of the ship's homemade mini tiramisu cake!

Oh! and did I mention that the waiters dress up in those captain outfits? Like they were really gona sail off somewhere. Their service is quite apt and efficient.

Not just that, the decoration inside is seriously like being on deck.

Although the exterior deco is one of the most unimpressive ones of The Ship (unlike the one at Batu Ferringhi), but I am satisfied with the food, place and service :)

Sadly the "captain" don't really know how to use my pink cammie which results in this blurry pic.

Unsatisfied so take again ^^

The bf had just recently finished his exams so he got ample time to spare to bring me around doing what I do best: ~~spending money~~ shopping!

Huge-ass mirror at NewBalance, The Gardens so couldn't help but to check out our reflections ;)

Then we headed to the fish market, not those smelly wet market...

Snapped another picture since got mirror :D But it was kinda blur due to me zoom-ing too much xD

We had country fried mushrooms as appetizers to prepare our stomach for the main course. Fried golden shroomies filled with oil to increase our LDL levels -.-"

My grilled seafood platter. Looks and taste good, after you minus the oil factor hahaAnd their all time specialty in showing off their fire skills so you will get distracted and be in awe so it will block your taste receptors and make you feel the food is awesome-o!

Nah, their flaming grilled platter, not much of a difference compared to the grilled seafood platter except for the prawn that looks more burnt, no sotong which was replaced by an extra fish fillet.

Prepare yourself by coming to this blog with a stomach that isn't so empty :) Cause there will be more food posts to come after this!

No point in me blabbing on about how great the food is, just look at the pictures and try it out yourself nextime.

Was kinda bored with the plain ol' sea blue so I added some other designs on it, very kindergarten like yea?

Part of the reason of me doing all the deco was to cover up my bling which was still stuck on my nail since 1 month ago, see below...the middle of the flower, it's bulging out as compared to the picture above.

And I shall be the first bold and brainless blogger who ends her post with a huge-ass picture of her "self-french-pedi" TOES! Yes I know my left foot has a tiny mole >.<"So you can spot me just by looking at my feet if you can't see my face.

A Big No No To Acidic Blood

I recently came across an email regarding the danger that acidic blood poses towards our health and how it increases the risk of cancer. Therefore I have summarized the points which I find important and listed them below:

Blood of a healthy individual is weakly alkaline in nature, with a pH of about 7.35 to 7.45.
On the other hand, babies' blood are weakly acidic.
As adults mature their blood becomes more acidic in nature, this is especially due to their dietary intake. According to a study of 600 cancer patients' bodily fluid, it was found that 85% of the patients are acidic .

Therefore, maintaining the weakly acidic nature of our body is the first step for moving far away from diseases.

Acidic physical conditions manifest itself in (sign and symptoms):
1. Skin without lustre
2. Athlete's foot
3. Feeling tired even with very little exercise, and feeling sleepy the moment one gets on to public buses
4. Easily out of breath climbing up and down stairs
5. Fat with lower stomach protruding
6. Slow movement with feelings of lethargy

Why does the body physical condition turn acidic?
1. Excessive intake of dairy acidic food
a) meat, dairy products, eggs, beef, ham, etc are acidic food
b) taking too much acidic food will cause the blood to become acidic and viscous, making it difficult to flow to the end of blood vessels, leading to cold feet or knee, stiff shoulders and insomnia.
c) When one is young and strong, taking suitable quantity of meat is appropriate, but it is more suitable for older people to have a diet which consists primarily of vegetables or small fish.

2. Irregularity in the pace of life will cause the body physical condition to become acidic
a) Irregular pace in life will lead to mental and physical stress
b) According to statistics, people who sleep late are more likely to have cancer than normal persons, by as much as 5 times. (oh no! Time for me to sleep early!)
c) Human beings originally lead a life with regular tempo in this world, it is not possible to store up sleep or food and not possible to change the order of living by mixing up days and nights.
d) Human organs are controlled by the autonomic nerves, and during day time it is mainly sympathetic nerves activities, and at night it is mainly the parasympathetic nerves which are functioning, If this order is disturbed and reversed, then diseases will result.

3. Emotionally tensed
a) Civilised society brings stress
b) In the form of job related or mental stresses
c) A person suffering from mental stress, when the stress is removed and the person relaxes, sometimes this may lead to death, referred to as the syndrome of imperfect adrenal cortex function. (scary leh)

4. Physical Stress
a) Before any operation it would be necessary to check to see if the renal cortex does function normally. If the adrenal cortex is lacking, or if the stress imposed by the operation exceeded the ability of adrenal cortex to cope, it could lead to death or other undesirable impacts.
b) If it noted that patient's face is puffy, it would be necessary to inquire in detail the patient's medical history and medication status, for patients taking adrenal cortical hormone, extra care should be exercise when administering acupuncture.
c) Stress due to physical labour or exercise in excess, whole night card games, driving etc should be avoided as much as possible

So, after reading the above, you must be wondering... so which food is acidic/alkaline. Well, here is a list of some of them:
1. Strongly acidic food:
egg yolk, cheese, cake make with white sugar or persimmon, mullet fish roe, dried cod

2. Mildly acidic food:
ham, bacon, chicken meat, squid, pork, eel, beef, bread, wheat, butter, horse meat etc

3. Weakly acidic food:
white rice, peanut, beer, alcohol, oil fried tofu, sea weed, clam, octopus, catfish

4. Weakly alkaline food:
red bean, radish, apple, cabbage, onion, tofu etc.

5. Mildly alkaline food: dried radish, soya bean, carrot, tomato, banana, orange, pumpkin strawberry, egg white, dried plum, lemon, spinach, etc

6. Strongly alkaline food:
grape, tea leaves, grape wine, kelp sprout, kelp, etc. Especially natural green algae which contains rich quantity of chlorophyll. Therefore, they are considered very good alkaline health food, but tea should not be drunk in excess, and best to drink in the morning

So stay anti-acidic and try to maintain your neutral body pH :)

My Mind is the Scene of the Crime

OK, guys girls, adults and little ones,

I'm sure you are all awaiting the INCEPTION that is directed by Christopher Nolan featuring Leonardo DiCaprio. Their famous tagline "your mind is the scene of the crime" puts me in awe, seriously. Whoever would have thought of crime related to our conscious and thoughts?

Whoever thought of the ability to steal valuable secrets from deep within the unconscious during the dream state when the mind is most vulnerable and "prone to getting stolen"?

I'm sure everyone, poor or rich alike, has a valuable secret that is unbeknownst to the ones around us, let alone the rest of the world.

Well mine is (it's supose to be a secret, but I'll let you in on it for being my readers :P) the fact that I keep thinking about the past, all the memories I kept of my past doings.
You might think, what's so valuable?
But it's the thing that shaped me to form what I am now, to make me stronger than even before mentally. To make me wise and prevent making the same mistakes. To give me the wisdom to cherish those around me.

Homemade Western Cuisine

How would you feel when you were treated to Western Cuisine that is homemade yet taste even better than those in high class restaurants??
DAMN SYIOK!!! :D

Right after class on Monday, Audrey and I waited for Karyn to come pick us up from our place. I was nomming on 3 packets of cheese crackers while waiting for her and Allen to arrive.

In the car, we had New York cheesecake dusted with aromatic cocoa powder prepared by Allen.
Yummeh! Soft in the middle, crumbly at the bottom.

We went straight to Karyn's house where this CHC's chef below start to work his magic in the kitchen. Sadly, none of us girls helped him but just watched and cheered in silence. xD

There you can see him preparing the first main course:
Bolognaise Pasta with bacon on top.
He used many ingredients for the sauce I kinda lost count. This coming from a person who heats the spaghetti sauce from of a can and calls it "cooking".
The pasta were cooked for an exact amount of time till al dente.
Needless to say, the food tastes as good as it looks.

While he prepared our "late lunch", us girls do what we (or maybe it's just me) know best,
camwhore in front of any available mirror!

Mr. Chef then prepared the Tomato Bruschetta. Pictures from left to right shows the steps in order to prepare your own bruschetta in chronological order. It's pretty self explanatory; cut bun, stir fry mushroom, prepare tomato toppings, put everything on bread including cheese and dump it in the oven.

I remember him asking us to "slice the submarine loaf" but I was being all hesitant
"What if I slice it all with different width? What if I accidentally squash the bun and made it out of shape? What if I ruined the bun and spoiled the supposedly perfect meal we were gonna have? What if, what if, what if" so none of us slice it in the end.
The same thing happened when we were asked to shred the cheese.
So, poor Allen had to do it all alone.
Next comes the Wine Beef. Prepare the gravy filled with wine, rosemary, bay leaves, garlic, salt and loads of sugar! Seasone the piece of meat. Then grill/fry for exactly 5min (timed using the kitchen timer, my first time using it -.-) for each side before turning over and repeating the same step.
I super love the wine sauce!

Next comes the Lamb Chop, nearly more or less the same steps as the beef above except no gravy. Rosemary lambchop served with lettuce n cherry tomatoes, garnished with a sprinkle of lemon zest and finished with tangy mint sauce. And he even made the effort to cut it up for us so we didn't need to use our knives and energy.While waiting for the only dude to finish cooking, we played with the cute puppy of Karyn's lil Angel, a few weeks old Labrador puppy who sleeps alot xDNearly 2 hours later, the food was more or less ready. There you see

After the arduous preparation that Allen has done the day before (and all the cooking done 2 hours before), the food was ready to be E-A-T-E-N!
That's the best and most favourite part ;) To nom, nom and nom!

So with no further delay, I present:
the appetiser of the day
Bruschetta Toast with Salsa, Mushrooms & Mozzarella Cheese
crunchy crust with warm, yummy and cheesy toppings!

And for the main course:
Pasta ala Bolognaise
fresh tomatoes and meat with bacon on top

Grilled Lamb Chop
Sizzling hot rosemary lambchop cutlets served with mint sauce, lettuce and cherry tomatoes for a balanced meal :P
Drunken Steak
(I named it myself so that's why it's lame)
Succulent Steak served with red wine sauce topped with lemony parsley paste and final touch of drizzles of extra virgin olive oil, the healthy and hearty all Italian way
To end every meal, even when you are full.. is to have desserts!
(Especially since the chef already painstakingly prepare everything)
I present to you a strawberry themed- dessert
Strawberry Tiramisu Trifle
and
Chocolate Coated Strawberries
We LOVE our chocolated-coated strawberries! So cute, mine even got a smile! At last, my dream for having a satisfying (in terms of both my tastebud and stomach) Western meal has came true.

All of this is only possible, thanks to Mr Allen Goh here (who is single).
So if any of you girls out there enjoys eating yet despise cooking, you know what to do ;)Another BIG thank you to Allen for the scrumptious 5-star meal.

Yesterday Jesslyn celebrated her birthday in advanced at the "great"which was located at Sunway Mentari, you can google it yourself yourself if you are interested as I am NOT gonna advertise for this place. It is Western-themed pork specialized restaurant owned by a Chinese family.

This is the pretty birthday girl. I pity the fact that she had rush left and right busy trying to serve us and making sure we were comfortable and all while getting busted by the boss. How is that possbile when she already provided 4 long tables filled with customers for him? Beats me.

The above food looks absolutely tantalizing doesn't it? It actually does taste as well as it looks. Guess what, BellyGood even has its own Facebook page, how "in" is that?!

Honestly speaking, the restaurant could become more famous and perhaps have more branches elsewhere IF only the service was better.

I mean, Which boss wanna go scold customer to get out? And keep asserting that the customer ordered wrongly.(I'm sure we as customers know what we order as it is what we wanted to eat) And mostly, swear the infamous 4 letter words!

That is absolutely atrocious and downright embarassing.

As if it wasn't bad enough that you deny "I'm sure that you ordered the fish and chips just now" even when the customer has already emphasized that it was not what she ordered.

You had to go and "If you'd like to cause more trouble, please leave. F*** you!"

Where has all the business ethics gone to?

You don't just shoo your customer outta your restaurant just cause you had a bad day.

You can't simply blame others ESPECIALLY CUSTOMERS on your own mistake just cause you're busy and mistook the order (if not how to boost and expand your business when you can't even handle 1 little shop which is fully packed)

As far as I remember, customers are always right!

For this case, she was REALLY innocent. She just wanted a fine meal with friends. Why would she wanna cari pasal with you? It makes no sense indeed.

It's good enough that there is a kind soul who is willing to order the extra food that was ordered yet unclaimed.

Perhaps you can consider having stress and anger management, it's highly important when dealing with customers of all sorts.

I know it isn't righteous to bombard someone where the whole world can see, but if the truth is hidden... then more people might get the same consequences.

P.S: BellyGood has apologized (as they should).

Let's just hope the lesson is learnt and never repeated.

The seniors have just left for Scotland last night. And in a mere 3 months time, it'll be our turn.

I used to remember the first time I joined the MPharm programme, I was so excited like "Woah, can go Scotland! Can go to a freeze-ass-cold country!" Eventhough I can't even stand rooms with air-conditioning and tend to sneeze after awhile -.-

But now, I kinda dread leaving this country I used to loathe with all the skeptical "Malaysia Boleh" and the increase in crime rates and accidents especially at KL. It's still 3 months to go and that's only IF I passed my test *touch wood, MUST pass*

I wonder how am I gonna adapt to living at Scotland where there are 4 seasons and summer there is like being up at Genting.

And there is all the packing that needs to be done.

Tests to overcome.

Visa to be made.

Luggage bag to be bought.

Time to be spent with loved ones.

Tears to be shed.

Crustacean feast

Munch munch all thanks to Mr Potato

There was once a girl who is an avid fan of potato chips. She would spend hours in supermarkets and grocery stores just to search for all the various brands and flavours of potato chips. She would munch on those in packets and tins. She was addicted to the different taste of various crunchy potato chips. She would try the normal salty ones to those with tomyam, BBQ and weird ones with seafood in it!

She would nom happily away on her chippies to the extend of posing with them. So bear with her. xD

She never knew that it was hazardous for health, let alone she never exercises. All she could think was "potato chips taste good and provide energy in the easiest way"

Little did she knew that she started to gain all weight due to all the unused calories and grew horizontally with a huge tummy and a round, fat face until she couldn't bear to face the world.

Until one day, the Evil Lord of the Chips appeared in front of her one day and boasted that she has been addicted to all those chips and will soon die of obesity and high cholestrol.
"No one is gonna love you, no one is gonna care for you"

She was so frightened of all the army of chips that taunted her even in her little room. They were like devils taunting her from hell! She was scared of them yet addicted till she could'nt stop eating.

Since she couldn't stop her addiction, the great Nuffnang dude and Mister Potato came to her rescue with an alternative option which could improve her health and social life.
Rice Crisps to satisfy her cravings yet not compromising her health which comes in 4 flavours:
Original
Sour Cream and Onion
Hot and Spicy
Flame Grilled BBQ

They explained patiently to the little girl that it is more healthy because it uses a mixture of rice and potato so less weight gain, has 20% less fat , has no MSG and no additional flavouring. Plus it still retain its great taste, texture and crunchy quality.

Besides that, the ever great Nuffnang gave her free Rice Crisps which was able to satisfy her addiction yet letting her remain slim and also boosted her esteem by prompting her to socialize in the BIG WORLD by giving her free tickets to the movie that she has long awaited, Prince of Persia.

There she get to meet other blogger friends :)

And she was able to bring an "anti-depresant" bodyguard, bag carrier and photographer. How great was that? *pic by Henry :)*

She was no longer sad. She was a happy girl :)

Who would crunch on her chips all day without worrying about health ailments, hair loss or weight problems. Her verdict: these rice crisps are tastier and crunchier than the usual potato varieties.

Turning a year older at the Laundry

Boyfie and I shared a 2course-meal as we weren't that hungry since our stomach has already been filled by bakuteh for tea.

Pre-Prince of Persia

Some nights ago, bf and I headed to the Curve to watch Prince of Persia all thanks to Nuffnang. That was like my only Nuffnang movie screening since I never attempted to join others due to several reasons
1. Transport problem
2. Late at night
3. Wrong timing (time taken?)

The bf and I were having a debate of which chicken tastes better, KFC or MacDonald.
The verdict: Well, I still support KFC while the bf prefers McD.
Whats your choice?

After all the crunching, we went to Ikea (which is my second favourite place to be after home)
I simply love browsing through all the items.
This pink room with white furniture really caught my eyes and heart.
Sadly, my little cammie ain't doing justice to the real thing.

Then all the walking around made us work up an appetite.
So we had Ikea's bottomless coffee

And this salmon which was different from the ordinary creamy one. Me no likey :X

My all time favourite meatballs!
I love the meatballs, I love the fries. I love the gravy. I love the jam.
:D

Finally, the fresh prawn sandwich with mayo and eggs.
Yums~ The pre-de-shelled prawns for lazy people like me. xD

After all the food, we were off to collect tickets for Prince of Persia and getting our free potato chips, all thanks to Nuffnang and MisterPotato.

Of fish head noodle

Recently went to Gou Lou Restaurant, a restaurant that claims to be famous for its fish head noodle and tom yam seafood. It was a branch of the Choy Kee Gou Lou Restaurant at Jalan Alor.

This was their clear fish head noodle without milk

Overall, I would say that the food is not bad. Though it's not extremely satisfying to my tastebud, maybe I expected it to be better.

Cheese Baked Rice anyone?

Now I look back, the cheese baked rice does not seem as appetising as it is supposed to be. :X But it still taste great ok! From KimGary, from a set meal to get their yummy borsch soup and dessert plus a drink. I'm not advertising. Just stating my favourite meal from there :)

This is our Saturday usher team for City Harvest Church KL. Now you know how many people it involves just to make sure the service runs smoothly and all the members to feel welcomed and 'at home'

SubZone picnic

This event was from some time ago. Pictures are from JinChong and Tracy.
It was a really nice afternoon where the sun tend to hide shyly behind the clouds at times and come out during "appropriate" times to cause us sunburn to show off its light and glory.

A couple of the East side cell groups' leaders decided to have a gathering/picnic/fun outing. Hence the picnic trip was held at Tasik Titiwangsa under a huge tree.

Everything was laid out (the picture only shows like 1/3 of the amount of people present) plus the food on the "mat" was less than the real thing since there were some late-comers.
All of us took turn to introduce ourselves.

Oh oh oh!

And guess what,

Yours truly got unlucky and bird shit landed on my hand from the tree above us -.-"

Just after we got up to prepare to play games. How great!

Then it was time for games! We played captain ball! That was the time the sun decided to rise!
Can you even see where the ball is?

Then we had a short break before starting the second set of games.
All of us were divided into four groups with a leader to guide us.

Why was my eyes close? Hm.. And you can see Dorothy helping people to tie knots:)

There we are bound to each other by feet, guess mine? xD

Before the game started, I just gotta show this picture.
Up front you see WaiCheong who was suppose to smile at the cam and behind you see Eewern posing when it's not suppose to be her :P She's gonna kill me when she sees this, better run and hide

The first game was to dig out little green and red beans that were lost in a jar of black beans.

Then we had to pass rubberbands using straws.

Following which we had to blow a pingpong ball out of a tin of flour.
And finally, blowing balloons :)

Our team came in 2nd in the end :) Kinda reminds me of high school and orientation, so much fun eventhough puteri lilin here kept complaining about the big, bad SUN!

We were all tired after that and were soon filling up ourselves with tons of food like rice, noodles, nuggets, sandwiches, fruits and drinks. But apparently everyone was too hungry and tired to take picture then :P

But soon, even the sun also had to set.
So we all took group pics and that makes the whole outing come to an end.

All of us! Excluding Jin the camera-man and you can see ~~short~~ tall people who aren't tallk enough and had to jump LOL

Really had fun during that outing.

A brief update from LONG time ago~

This post should have been done and posted eons ago. Thanks to my great procrastinating ability, I've just started getting to it and having it done NOW!

A couple of us girls by the name of KaiXin, LeeJing, ChewPing, Audrey and myself went to have fill our dimsum cravings at SriPetaling.

We've ordered the food below :) The pau was their specialty that could only be found from that restaurant if I wasn't wrong.

Today all I'm gonna blog about is football and more FOOTBALL and why I think football and Adidas goes together. Or more precisely why Adidas is suitable for all football-related-people.

Adidas is a great sports brand that is internationally known and reliable.I've been using Adidas for many years now, way back before I did this advertorial and I must say... they have a lot of great quality items... Be it their clothes, footwear or just their toiletries.

Yesterday a couple of us girls in the name of Wendy, Misa, Jeanie, ChooWei and I went to Cathay Cineplex at the Curve. Before that, we ate at Ikea famed for their yummylicious meatballs (oh I'm starting to miss it). Met Sha(TehTarik) on the way there. :)

Wendy and ChooWei went to watch The Descent as Wendy had free tickets by Nuffnang but since I'm a ~~chicken~~ anti-horror girl, I watched Furry Vengeance with the other 2 lenglui :)

In the first place, we choosed that movie because the time it started was closest to the other 2. But I must admit that it was quite funny. I'm not gonna write a review for that movie, that you can search elsewhere. But all I can say it's quite worth my time. Really had us all cracked up in laughter. And the animals were oh-so-cute!

Who Will Win the World Cup?

OK guys and girls, we all know World Cup is just around the corner, after all of us were hyped up about Malaysia vs China for the Thomas Cup in which all hope is lost... It is now time to channel all our hope and energy to support the World Cup (which I'm sure TONS more people worldwide will watch as compared to Thomas Cup). I play badminton but sad to say, I didn't even watch a single match of the Thomas Cup.

Before I start to digress too much, let me move back onto the World Cup where I will enlighten you all abit (I repeat, only ABIT) about it AND tell you about the team I think will win. Sure correct one ok ;) Got sixth sense! :P

The coming World Cup is coming soon in about a month time from 11June till 11July. This year, it will be held at South Africa. You can read more details about it from their official website here.

Wanna know why?

Its because I have this great feeling that it will be the time for England to shine during World Cup. Fabio Capello (manager of England team)has transformed England from a goal-shy team to one of the best attacking team which have a defence that isn't too shameful as well. I mean come on! We have Rooney (from ManU *giggles like a girly fan*) in great form to lead the attacking team supported by world class midfielder such as Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard.

Oh! Not forgetting the fact that we have John Terry and Rio Ferdinand as the main defenders while Ashley Cole and Glen Johnson will support them. Plus! David James of Portsmouth will be our goal keeper :) (We've got one great goal keeper here ok!)
